I chose to do black and white landscapes for my final exam. They are rather self explanatory, just being pictures of landscapes that are black and white. I chose the photographer Ansel Adams. He was known for his pictures of the American landscape, specifically the American west, such as Yosemite national park. My images show the theme because they are black and white and pictures of landscapes. They match the theme pretty well. I took a picture of a track in the woods. I like the lighting. I wasn't telling a story. I think it is a good picture because it has nice contrast.

This famous picture of Albert Einstein was taken March 14, 1951. It was taken by photographer Arthur Sasse. It was Einstein's 72nd birthday and he had been smiling for photographers all day. When photographer for the United Press, Arthur Sasse, tried to take his picture, Einstein decided he was sick of smiling so he stuck out his tongue. I wanted to pay homage to this picture for a few reasons. First, it is a widely recognized picture. Secondly, I enjoyed the story behind it. Finally I wanted to recreate it because it shows that even geniuses such as Einstein have a sense of humor. I payed homage to the Einstein picture where he's sticking his tongue out. I took a picture of Tanner, Nick, Joey, Jack, and Colby. I like the way most of the faces have half of them dark. I wasn't telling a story, just recreating a picture. I like the Joestein picture the best because his expression is closest to the original photograph.
